I finished my summer in Cincinnati two weeks back by working one of the coolest sports assignments I’ve been privileged enough to cover. I spend four days camped out at the Western & Southern Open in Mason, Ohio, (about four miles from the house at which I was living) covering the world’s best tennis players.
It’s awesome to look at the New York Times sports front, which focused on The Open Monday, and see pictures similar to what I made. More or less, it’s the access that was cool. And knowing that I was covering people that were fresh off the Olympics and headed to the United States’ most prominent tournament — The Open.

Photographers: please drop me a line and let me know how I can improve. I’m sure there’s plenty to pick apart, and any bit of advice is appreciated.
